As a result of this session, participants will:
Develop screencasts explaining the elements of their webquests;
Walk through a peer's webquest and offer a critique
Complete a workshop evaluation.
SESSION ACTIVITIES
Now that you have completed your webquests, it's time to take them out for a test drive. During our last session, you will need to complete the following activities:
Create a screencast for your webquest. You should use ScreenCast-o-Matic to create your screencast.
You want to show the other participants the elements of your webquest and explain what students are expected to do -- sort of a tour of your webquest.
Once you have completed your screencast, publish it to YouTube and place the link to your video in the discussion area below.
Select at least one of your colleague's webquests and walk through some of the activities -- using not only your teacher eyes, but also from the perspective of a high school student.
Complete the Webquest evaluation sheet and provide feedback
Upon completion of these activities, please feel free to share any thoughts in our discussion area and complete the workshop evaluation (this will help me to make improvements to future professional development sessions).
